Wedding FAQ

Do you offer larger wedding options for more than 100 people?

No, the Stone House Wedding package includes rentals for up to 100 guests but we can accommodate up to 120 people with additional rentals that can be provided by AV. 


Can the reception end later than 9pm?

All public and private events must conclude by 9pm. We allow an additional hour until 10pm for clean-up at the Stone House.


Will we have the exclusive use of the Property?

The Grand Barn is open to the public April-October on the weekends and there may be other events taking place throughout the property.  We will have a Bluegrass band at the Barn but the music will not interfere with your wedding or music.


Can we have a band at the reception?

No, we do not allow large bands with drums or brass instruments but we do allow DJs, vocalists, and musicians such as keyboards, guitars, string instruments, etc. at the Stone House. Arrington vineyards has full control over all sound levels at the reception and at the Barn which is open to the public.


How far in advance should I book my date?

We book weddings starting at 18 months in advance.


What do you require to hold a date?

At least a 50% of the venue fee is due when the contract is signed. The remaining venue balance is due 6 months prior to the wedding. If a wedding is to take place in under 6 months, the full venue payment is due at the time of signing. Payment for additional hours, wine selection, bartenders, additional rental items like tables and chairs is due 30 days prior to the wedding.


Do you allow outside alcohol?

We only allow Arrington Vineyards wine to be served. Beer (cans or kegs only) may be brought in but all alcohol must be served by the AV bartending staff or ABC licensed and insured professional. Liquor is not allowed.


Can we take pictures anywhere on the property?

Pictures around the property including in and aroudn the vines are allowed but pictures in the Tasting Lodge or the Barn are not allowed. You may not ask guests to move out of the pictures. You do have exclusive use of the Stone House property during your rented time for pictures. 


Can we work with other vendors not listed on the Exclusive Vendors list?

All Catering, Rental and Lighting services should be contracted through our vendors. All other vendors including Cake vendors are allowed.


Do I need to hire an event planner or day of coordinator?

Yes! You are required to have a planner or day of coordinator that has a business license and has insurance. Hiring someone to coordinate the day will make your day stress free and allow you to spend time with your friends and family. Two onsite staff members from Arrington Vineyards will be on property during your event to answer questions about the space and oversee the operations but he/she will not be responsible for setting up and coordinating the wedding.


Do you have a backup for rain?

Our rain plan includes use of the tent that is installed throuhg out the year at the Stone House. If it were to rain or be cold, the tent is used for the ceremony and reception. Side Walls and Heaters are included in the rental of the Stone House.


What is a price per case of wine and is there a minimum?

A case of wine can vary from $200-$300 per case and wines can be mixed and matched to create a case of wine (12 bottles). We do not have a wine minimum but we do have a recommended amount of wine that we suggest. We do offer a 15% discount on all wine that is purchased when 12 or more bottles are purchased for the wedding.


Do I need event insurance?
We require the purchase of a one-day event liability and property damage policy of $1,000,000 per occurrence. These policies can be secured online within a few minutes, are very reasonably priced and will cover losses from personal or property damages. We recommend getting the policy from,, or from your personal insurance agent.


Where will my guest enter the property and how do they get there?

The West Entrance is located at 6362 Cox Road.

What exactly does the onsite staff member do?
The Event Staff on site during the day will be making sure that everything in the house is working properly and is stocked with needed items like paper towels, toilet paper and wine is delivered as well as all other miscellaneous needs and tasks that come up throughout the day. Their first priority is to maintain the house and property and then all the additional tasks for your wedding set up, duration and break down. They transition into bartends when the Reception begins.

How much are bartender fees?

We recommend 1 bartender for every 50 guests. The Event Staff transition into bartenders after the ceremony. Additional bartenders are available for $120.


Who is responsible for the event set up?
The AV events team will set up the Tables and Chairs for the reception and ceremony how you would like. All other decor items brought are responsibility of the Wedding Party & Planner/Coordinator and set up by those, not the AV Staff.


What are we responsible for regarding cleanup?

We expect all decorations including any flower petals, spills, food brought in throughout the day, items brought in while getting ready to be thrown away or packed up in a car after the event is over. General cleaning and tidying up should be done. Our staff is responsible for taking out the trash in the bathrooms and helping pick up general trash around the area. Your caterer is responsible for taking out the main trash cans and their buffet trash. It should look relatively like it did when you arrived.
