Rich, sweet aromas of blackberry, vanilla oak, and allspice are followed by flavors of juicy raspberry, blackberry, clove and cocoa.
Gold - 2011 Wines of the South Competition.
Made from grapes sourced from Yakima, WA (78%) and Sonoma, CA (22%). This Syrah was aged for 18 months in 50% new American oak barrels and 50% new French oak barrels. The American oak added clove and vanilla notes, while the French oak added complex spice and cocoa notes.
